RMC News – Follow-ups
The governments of Kenya and Uganda have officially announced the exemption of Sudanese citizens from entry visa requirements, in a move aimed at facilitating travel and mobility for Sudanese nationals between these countries.
The decision came following a visit by a delegation from the Ta’sis Government to both countries, where discussions focused on ways to strengthen cooperation and ease the movement of citizens, particularly in light of the circumstances currently facing Sudan.
According to the announcement, the visa exemption will allow Sudanese citizens to enter Kenya and Uganda without the need for prior visa procedures, which is expected to significantly ease travel and strengthen ties between Sudan and countries in East Africa.
Observers believe that this step could help reduce restrictions on Sudanese mobility and open the door for greater economic and humanitarian cooperation between Sudan and countries in the region.
