بيتر لورد دبلوماسي مخضرم شغل منصب نائب لـ”مولي في”، مساعدة وزير الخارجية الأمريكي لشؤون شرق إفريقيا والسودان وجنوب السودان. وقد زار السودان عدة مرات، كانت آخرها في فبراير 2023، قبل اندلاع الحرب بشهرين، حيث التقى بممثلي القوى السياسية الموقعة على الاتفاق الإطاري.

Sources have reported that the Trump administration has appointed Peter Lord as the interim U.S. Special Envoy for Sudan, succeeding Tom Perriello.

Peter Lord is a seasoned diplomat who previously served as Deputy to Molly Phee, the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Africa, Sudan, and South Sudan. He has visited Sudan several times, most recently in February 2023, two months before the outbreak of the war, where he met with representatives of political forces that signed the framework agreement.
